.The Boyfriend Jeans
So most of us have heard of “The Boyfriend Jeans”, right? The concept is that you woke up at your boyfriend's place and decided to wear his jeans – slightly too big, distressed, cuffed and kinda awesome. Gorrit|? Great!!

.The Mom Jeans
Have you heard of “The Mom Jeans”? The waistband fits around the navel area, tapered legs and usually has pleats and makes your bum look long and unflattering. Designers saw the potential, made a few changes and suddenly the mom jeans was reinvented and cool!

.The Girlfriend Jeans
Now there’s the girlfriend jeans. I came across it on the Mr Price website yesterday. So we know what the boyfriend jeans is, so does this mean that your effeminate boyfriend slept over and decided to wear your jeans? *confuzzled*
Jirre girl! Wie is die girl?
So I did some research and this is how Marie Claire UK defines it, “The Girlfriend is a more feminine version of the Boyfriend Jeans. It’s a more classic fit tighter and higher on the hip with a tapererd slim leg. Made from more ridged denim, the style is more authentic and offers a flattering shape.”

Okay, so while I'm on this denim beat, have you heard about the customized Levi's 501 Jeans? You haven't? Listen up!!
I'm sure most people have owned a pair of Levi's 501 jeans at some point in their lives or at least knows someone who has or for the very least knows WHAT IT IS? If you don't, just nod your head and pretend that do.
"The latest iteration of the 501 is called the 501 CT (Customized Tapered) and it takes inspiration from the many generations who would often take a DIY approach to their 501s and taper the legs (amongst other customizations). The new fit reimagines the original by lowering the rise to sit just below the waist, adding room to the seat and thighs, and tapering below the knee to a narrow 13.75″ leg opening.
If it weren’t for thousands of teens altering their 501s at home and customers continuing to ask their tailors to taper their 501s, the changes in fit seem drastic enough to warrant an entirely new model number rather than calling it another 501."

This is what it looks like.

What do you think? I am kinda inlove with it. I would probably go for the "true-to-size" fit. I hope I will be able to find them in Port Elizabeth. Sigh*
I hope you feel educated and know your denim terminology. Pop Quiz in the morning!
Take care, Silly Sal x
